Thanks to a reminder by Gail, I was able to remember to sign up for the Card Chain Challenge this month and last month - September. This is the card I sent out to Gundi in Germany. I used the colors from the challenge, plus a couple more. I had just received the stencils and wanted to use them. Aren't all of these Waffle Flowers stencils so much fun, there are so many that fit the Postage Collage dies.
Jeanne in Mn was next in the chain, so she sent me this pretty flowery card. I always forget to use stamps to make a background, but Jeanne pulled it off perfectly. I love the blue, yellow, green combination. Not sure if I had ever told her that was a favorite combination of mine. But I'm so glad she used it to make my card. The ribbon at the side has such a cool texture to it, too.
October chain is up next. I've got to put my thinking cap on for that card.
In the meantime, here are a couple of cards I have made for challenges.
Two cards for the Alphabet challenge on Splitcoaststampers.
I'm behind on this round (like every other lately), I hope to get caught up.
This is for the letter I - Inkwell is our prompt.
I traced the outline of an online image, watercolored it and added ink work to add the details. I die-cut the panel and mounted it on a white card base. The sentiment seemed to complete the card with the gold foil matching the trim of the inkwell.
For the letter L Lamp was our prompt, preferably oil lamp.
I love the little House Mouse stamp that has a candle lamp, but I did have an oil lamp digital stamp.
So, I made both cards for the challenge. House Mouse is colored with Copic markers,
and the digital image is watercolored.
